I found small shrines inside of Kanda Myoujin Shrine. This is because this shrine enshrines many Gods. You can also see the similar view in Japan because Japanese religion is polytheistic.

Since this shrine is located on the top of the hill, the scenery from the shrine is nice!

I found candy shop called “Daikokuya Jisuke” near the shrine. This shop opened more than 150 years ago and sells old-style Japanese candy.

I bought soda flavor candy. It is just 200 yen. Very reasonable!! The taste is also simple and nice.

Now I am in Sudacho area. Some buildings built more than 100 years ago are still remained in this area. Since Tokyo was completely devastated by big-earthquake in 1923 and large scale air raids in 1944 and 1945, this is very rare.

The speciality of this shop is fried bun with Azuki bean’s paste inside. It’s so delicious!

3. History

It is said that Kanda Myoujin Shrine was established in 730 and local people have worshiped at this shrine for a long time.

In 1616, Kanda Myoujin Shrine was moved to the current location. Since it was located on the top of the hill and the view was very nice, many local people visited the shrine and enjoyed the scenery in Edo Era (from the 17th century to the 19th century) as the following picture shows,
