The beauty of “Mono no Aware” in Kozenin of Tozuka-Angyo

I came to Tozuka-Angyo in Saitama Prefecture. Today, I will go to Kozenin Temple to appreciate Japanese beauty.

Now I am heading to Kozenin Temple from Toduka-Angyo Station. On the way to the temple, I can see some seedlings of garden plants. This area is famous for cultivating garden plants.
This is Kozenin Temple. This temple is very famous for the beautiful scenery.

When I see the lonely atmosphere with statues of guardian diety of children and tombstones just like the view in this temple, I feel “Mono no Aware”. It literary means the pathos of things. Japanese people find beauty in things that implies death while feeling gentle sadness.
If the time for autumn leaves comes, I would like to visit this temple again.

Kozenin Temple was built in 1546. The view in this temple was chosen as one of eight beautiful landscapes in Tozuka-Angyo area.
